Descry
Inspired by the 1964 Obie Award winning play ‘Dutchman’, written by Amiri Baraka (born LeRoi Jones) as a political allegory describing black, white relations, Descry is set in present-day America and is expanded to include our country’s more diverse ethnic makeup.
A college student eats lunch at a diner. As the film unfolds, we see the manifestation of both his experiences and fears about identity come alive in a series of explosive confrontations with the other customers.
